Ross Thompson
International Student Security
Ross Thompson directs Investigative Management Group's Office of
International Student Security. Mr. Thompson has spent time studying,
living, and working in some of the world's most volatile regions,
including South and Central America, Asia, and North Africa. His
international experience began at a young age as he explored such places
at East Africa and Central America. During High School he experienced
firsthand the institutional aspect of the abroad process as he attended
programs in the UK, France and Caribbean. Mr. Thompson's independent
experience abroad began in 2006 after he left the Elliot School of
International Affairs at George Washington University to pursue various
business ventures in Cape Town, South Africa. While living and traveling
in Africa, he honed his skills as an expat, learning first hand how to
handle the special challenges of being young and abroad.
After more than a year in Africa, Mr.Thompson returned to New York City
where he worked in global development for GO7 Brands, a prominent
consumer products company. At GO7 he built lasting relationships all
over the world with particular emphasis in the Middle East. Mr. Thompson
now takes his experience and knowledge to guide young adults as they
begin their global travels.
